Thank you for visiting. I write (daily) and make art (occasionally). My picture book, LOUIE MATTAR'S FABULOUS CAR, with amazing illustrations by Jordi Vila Delclòs (Creative Editions, 2026) will be available August 11th. You can pre-order here!
My creative path has been a little like a Choose Your Own Adventure story. There have been twists and turns, false starts and dead ends, but that's part of the fun. I've written articles, books, and screenplays and I love to experiment with different artistic mediums, like comics, collage, and even pasta.
If we ever meet (and I hope we do), ask me about cosplay, scherenschnitte, and the forgotten art of letter writing.
